Cason had a very special 3rd birthday today! He picked a cake from one of his favorite books and we did our best to make it look the way he wanted. He helped me make this cake this morning while Jackson went to art camp and we had a really great time together!
After making his cake we headed to Atlanta for his feeding clinic appointment. We were so excited when we arrived and heard that Cason had gained 5lbs since starting therapy! So...the doctor and nutritionist have decided to let us stop using the G-tube at night!!!!! Wooo hoooo!!! This has obviously been something that we have wanted for a long time, so please pray that he keeps eating enough during the day and that he stays hydrated so that we can pull the tube sometime soon. We have been pureeing most of his food for the past few weeks (Ever had a pureed PBJ or chicken pot pie??) which he's doing great with, so we'll gradually move back to solid foods. We appreciate your prayers about all of this. The thought of getting rid of the g-tube is really exciting!!
After feeding school we headed back to Thomaston for Jackson's second game with the Pirates. He played great and them we came home and celebrated with some birthday cake!
