Exciting prayer needs!!!

Hello everyone!

I hope that everyone has been enjoying their summer. We sure have been having lots of fun and staying very busy. School starts soon for both boys and they are really looking forward to it! Jackson starts in August and he will be going to the public Pre K here in Thomaston and Cason will continue at the Methodist Church in the Pre K 3 class. I will be working at Cason's school a couple of days a week, too.

Over the last few years we have really seen God's hand working in our family. He is truly making changes in all of our hearts and we are encouraged each day to see what He has to teach us. This summer we have had a great opportunity to serve as a family in a local community ministry and God has really been working in all our hearts! We are writing this email to ask for prayer and to seek encouragement from family and friends as we God continues to reveal His plan for our family,

We have told a few of you already, but we want to let the rest of you know that we are in the early stages of the adoption process. We both feel that God is calling us to adopt a black baby girl and we are dying to meet her!! We are gathering information and deciding which route to take, but it looks like we will likely do a domestic adoption through an agency called Bethany Christan Services. We are working on our application now and will hopefully begin our six week class in September. Our boys are so excited!!! Jackson has already told us how much of a helper he will be and Cason is thrilled to know that he will be a big brother, too!

Please continue to keep all of us in your prayers as we venture out on this new exciting journey! We also have some praises while you're at it... Cason is still doing good without his belly tube! On most days eating comes easy to him which is a huge improvement. He is maintaining weight and we are so happy about that!!! Jackson is doing well and has had a fun time playing Tball with the Pirates this summer. We love his inquisitive spirit and he has been asking lots of "spiritual" questions lately. Sometimes it is hard to explain your faith to a four year old, but we feel like he is understanding most of our answers to his questions. BG has moved into a new position as Rehab Director at the hospital in Thomaston. We are excited about the change and looking forward to the seeing what God has for him in this new role!

We love y'all and appreciate the Godly examples that you are to us! We know how faithful you are in prayer and it means a ton to us to know that you are lifting us up! Please let us know how we can pray for you, too...Thanks!

Tricia~ I will surely keep y'all in my prayers as y'all continue down the journey of adoption and for continued success with Cason!! I am so excited for y'all about what the Lord has in store for your precious and amazing family! I love that verse from James, we have it on Noah's wall above his crib and it is so true. Sending y'all lots of love~ Dana (terri's little sister)
