Excitement...

We made it past the one year anniversary and Cason decided to bring a little excitement back into our lives. We had a fun night with friends on Saturday night, but after bed he started running a fever and by Sunday morning he was having some pretty severe pain in his abdomen. We went back and forth but decided that it would be best to take him to Egleston. As the day went on he was more and more lethargic and sickly, so we were glad that we took him.

After lots of blood work and tests the doctors decided that Cason had a severe bacterial urinary tract infection. In the ER he was given a dose of IV antibiotics and it was amazing to see how quickly that he felt better. We were transferred to the good ol' transplant floor and were told that they wanted to watch him until Wednesday to make sure that everything was ok. For once, we actually left earlier than anticipated! Cason responded really well to the antibiotics so they decided that he could go home and take them through his g-tube for the next five days.

Thanks to those of you who have been praying for Cason (and the rest of us) over the past couple of days. Y'all mean the world to us!
