Back again...

Waiting on my new room.............................
Well. You won't believe it, but Cason is back in the hospital. As it turns out, in addition to the bacteria growing in his central line, there is also yeast growing. Pretty nasty. This means that we will have to remove the line, which will hopefully happen tomorrow. The next day he will likely get a PICC line. We are going to try a different routine with the fluids that we give him at home to see if he can stay hydrated with IV fluids once every 3 nights instead of every night, like we do now. If he tolerates this then he will get a port, which he will need for about a year after transplant.

So...this may be a long stay at Scottish Rite, but we're not really sure yet. Cason will have the procedure to remove his central line tomorrow and he will also have an Echocardiogram to make sure that the yeast has not invaded his heart valves. Please pray that these procedures go well. He is still feeling great, which is a blessing. He charms everyone in the hospital every time that we're up there and we've got lots of doctors and nurses that know us by now, so they always make us feel special when we're there.

We'll keep you posted.
