Here we go...

We just got news that Mom is finished with her part of the surgery and it sounds like everything went great. She'll be in recovery for about 2 hours, so we won't be able to see her until then but we're thankful that all is well on her side of things.

Cason went back around 11 this morning and was a champ, like always. He was a little drunk from his pre-surgical medication but he was smiling and talking to us the whole time. He blew us a few kisses while the nurse carried him through the OR doors, so praise the Lord for that. It has been emotional for everybody, but we are all holding up really well. We have an army of family and friends with us which helps tremendously.

The nurses are supposed to update us about once an hour, so we look forward to that. We'll try to keep you posted, too.
