Post Op Day 4 - Friday

Cason didn't sleep very well on Thursday night in his new room, but he seemed to feel great the next day. We finally disconnected all of his tubes and IVs so he was able to hop in a wagon and leave his room! Nona, Ashley and Carly came to visit and Cason had a great time. As soon as we got downstairs he downed two little cups of mango smoothie, then ate a bunch of ice chips and some pudding. Praise the Lord! Most of you know that eating has been tough for Cason since birth, so we are incredibly thankful for any step in the right direction as far as that's concerned.

All that food must have motivated him because he got the urge to walk while we were downstairs, too! He didn't want me to hold on to him (I did anyways) and he motored around for 10 or 15 minutes. We were so excited!

Mom was able to go home on Friday and she has been really glad to get home. She is getting some good rest and has finally started eating again, so it looks like things are going well for her, too.

Love you guys.
